Vehicle Fire Suppression Blanket

This firefighting equipment effectively suppresses vehicle fires by covering a conventional or electric vehicle fire with a fire suppression blanket to block oxygen and extinguish the flames.

Fire Spread Prevention Demonstration  

A fire suppression demonstration was conducted by recreating a fire situation between vehicles, similar to a parking lot environment. 

By using the fire suppression blanket at the early stage of the fire, the flames were suppressed without spreading to the vehicles on either side.

EV Fire Suppression Demonstration  

A fire was intentionally generated in an actual electric vehicle to demonstrate fire suppression. 

The fire suppression blanket used in this demonstration was the same blanket used in the previous demonstration, showing its reusability.

How to Use  

In the event of a fire, call the fire department first for your safety. 

If the fire is large or there is a risk of explosion, prioritize evacuation rather than attempting unsafe fire suppression. 

 1. Wear protective equipment and prepare the fire suppression blanket.   
Take out and unfold the fire suppression blanket at a safe distance in front of the fire area. 


 2. Cover the fire area with the blanket to block oxygen.  

Hold the straps on both sides and place the fire suppression blanket over the fire area.

Press down the edges of the blanket to block oxygen.

 3. Wait for 20 to 30 minutes in a safe place.  

Wait in a safe location away from the fire area.

 4. After confirming complete extinguishment, remove and store the blanket.  

After confirming that the fire has been completely extinguished, collect and store the fire suppression blanket.

Applications  

It can be used at the early stage of vehicle fires in places such as parking lots, EV charging stations, performance test sites, campsites, and tunnels, especially in environments without access to water or where fire trucks may take time to arrive. It helps prevent fire spread and minimize damage.
